Divi 5 is a ground-up rewrite of the Divi builder: no shortcodes, block storage, a React interface and a public API. Elegant Themes shipped it on Feb 26, 2026 and has released a new minor version most months since. This is what has landed so far.
Checked against the Divi changelog on .
Divi 5 now has built-in Breadcrumbs, Table of Contents, Tooltip, Timeline, Instagram Feed and Charts modules. Where Divi 5 covers the same job, the Divi Torque module is an alternative you already have, not a requirement.
A natural-language command interface inside the builder that edits layouts, presets and settings for you.
Four new modules and Loop filters
Charts, Gravity Forms, Imagely and Payment Button modules, Post Filter modules for the Loop Builder, and lazy loading for videos, sliders and maps below the fold.
Visual grid layouts with spans, offsets and number variables, on top of the existing flexbox controls.
Variable fonts and a Tooltip module
Variable font weights, a larger Google Fonts list, and a native Tooltip module.
Gradient editor and Workspaces
Gradient variables, a new gradient picker, text effects, and dockable, tabbed builder workspaces you can save.
Breadcrumbs, SVG, Timeline, Table of Contents and Instagram Feed join the core module set.
Aspect ratio and image framing
Aspect-ratio sizing on every module, object-fit framing for images, and image presets.
Input, checkbox and radio option groups with presets, plus focus, checked and active states on form modules.
Stability fixes and the groundwork for the AI Agent toolbar.
The beta label comes off. Shortcodes are gone, content is stored as blocks, and the builder runs on a new React framework with a public API.
The plugin is fully native. Nothing is in a compatibility layer, nothing is waiting on a port, and everything new ships Divi 5 native from day one.

The questions we get about Divi 5 at support, answered once.
Yes. All 98 modules in Divi Torque Pro run natively on Divi 5, and so do the 9 extensions. Native means each module is a real Divi 5 block registered through the Divi 5 API, not a Divi 4 shortcode wrapped for compatibility. Pro has been native since 2.3.1.
No. Open a Divi 4 page in the Divi 5 builder and Divi converts it. Every Divi Torque module ships a conversion outline that maps its Divi 4 settings to the Divi 5 module, so borders, fonts, spacing and custom CSS carry over. Take a backup before converting a live site, as you would for any migration.
Yes. Divi Torque detects Divi 5 whether it runs from the Divi theme or the Divi Builder plugin, and it still works on Divi 4 with either. Divi 5 lists Divi Torque Pro as a Divi 5 plugin in its readiness check.
Elegant Themes has said Divi 4 will get security and compatibility fixes for at least twelve months after the Divi 5 release on Feb 26, 2026, so through at least February 2027. Divi Torque keeps its Divi 4 modules for as long as Divi 4 is supported, so nothing breaks on a site that has not migrated yet.
Divi 5.0 or later, WordPress 7.0 or later, and Divi Torque Pro 2.3.1 or later. The current release is always the right choice: every Divi 5 fix ships as a normal plugin update, and the changelog lists what changed.
Yes. Every update is included with your licence, and a lifetime licence is honoured permanently. There is no separate Divi 5 edition and nothing to buy again.
Galleries, popups, reviews, menus and forms, all real Divi 5 blocks. Your Divi 4 layouts convert, and one licence covers every site you build.
