Divi 5 Roadmap

Where Divi 5 stands today, what Divi Torque Pro already runs natively on it, and what we are building next.

Where Divi 5 stands today

Divi 5 is a ground-up rewrite of the Divi builder: no shortcodes, block storage, a React interface and a public API. Elegant Themes shipped it on Feb 26, 2026 and has released a new minor version most months since. This is what has landed so far.

Checked against the Divi changelog on .

What Elegant Themes says is next

  • The Divi 5 engine comes to the standalone Divi Builder plugin, without a long beta.
  • Divi 4 keeps getting security and compatibility fixes for at least twelve months after launch.
  • More core modules and builder features on the current cadence of a release every few weeks.

Divi 5 now has built-in Breadcrumbs, Table of Contents, Tooltip, Timeline, Instagram Feed and Charts modules. Where Divi 5 covers the same job, the Divi Torque module is an alternative you already have, not a requirement.

  1. AI Agents

    Divi AI Agents

A natural-language command interface inside the builder that edits layouts, presets and settings for you.

  2. 5.10

Four new modules and Loop filters

Charts, Gravity Forms, Imagely and Payment Button modules, Post Filter modules for the Loop Builder, and lazy loading for videos, sliders and maps below the fold.

  3. 5.9

    CSS Grid Editor

Visual grid layouts with spans, offsets and number variables, on top of the existing flexbox controls.

  4. 5.8

Variable fonts and a Tooltip module

Variable font weights, a larger Google Fonts list, and a native Tooltip module.

  5. 5.7

    Gradient editor and Workspaces

Gradient variables, a new gradient picker, text effects, and dockable, tabbed builder workspaces you can save.

  6. 5.4 to 5.6

    Five new core modules

Breadcrumbs, SVG, Timeline, Table of Contents and Instagram Feed join the core module set.

  7. 5.5

    Aspect ratio and image framing

Aspect-ratio sizing on every module, object-fit framing for images, and image presets.

  8. 5.3

    Form field styling

Input, checkbox and radio option groups with presets, plus focus, checked and active states on form modules.

  9. 5.1

    First post-launch release

Stability fixes and the groundwork for the AI Agent toolbar.

  10. 5.0

    Divi 5 official release

The beta label comes off. Shortcodes are gone, content is stored as blocks, and the builder runs on a new React framework with a public API.

Divi Torque Pro on Divi 5

The plugin is fully native. Nothing is in a compatibility layer, nothing is waiting on a port, and everything new ships Divi 5 native from day one.

  • Real Divi 5 blocks Every module registers through the Divi 5 API. No shortcode wrapper, no compatibility layer.
  • Divi 4 layouts convert Each module ships a conversion outline, so a Divi 4 page opens in the Divi 5 builder with its settings intact.
  • Passes the readiness check Divi 5 lists Divi Torque Pro as a Divi 5 plugin, with the Divi theme or the Divi Builder plugin.
  • Libraries load on demand A carousel or Lottie library loads only on a page that uses that module, not site-wide.

How Divi Torque became Divi 5 native

Module by module, release by release, while Divi 5 was still in beta. Each step links to its changelog entry.

  1. Pro 1.7.0

    First native Pro modules

Seventeen Pro modules ship as Divi 5 blocks.

  2. Pro 1.11.0

    Every Pro module native

Chat, galleries, forms, Timeline, Menu Maker and Instagram Feed complete the set. Divi 4 layouts migrate automatically.

  3. Pro 2.3.0

Quality tools for Divi 5 sites

Accessibility and Performance Inspectors join Site Launch Audit, and every Divi 4 to Divi 5 mapping is audited module by module.

What we are building next for Divi 5

Everything below is Divi 5 native from the first commit. No dates: we ship when it is right, and the changelog is the record.

  • Up next Pro

    Typing Text module

Rotating and typed text with a prefix, a suffix, per-string timing, smart backspace and a cursor you control.

  • Up next Pro

    Icon Library

Lucide and Phosphor icon sets inside the native Divi 5 icon picker, so every module, ours or anyone else's, can use them.

  • Up next Pro

    Mobile Menu module

An off-canvas or full-screen mobile menu you place in a Theme Builder header, with multi-level dropdowns and Mega Menu support.

  • Planned Pro

    Client Mode and Torque abilities

A simplified dashboard for client handovers, and Divi Torque actions on the WordPress Abilities API so an agent such as Saddle can operate a site.

Divi 5 roadmap questions

The questions we get about Divi 5 at support, answered once.

Is Divi Torque compatible with Divi 5?

Yes. All 98 modules in Divi Torque Pro run natively on Divi 5, and so do the 9 extensions. Native means each module is a real Divi 5 block registered through the Divi 5 API, not a Divi 4 shortcode wrapped for compatibility. Pro has been native since 2.3.1.

Do I have to rebuild my Divi 4 layouts?

No. Open a Divi 4 page in the Divi 5 builder and Divi converts it. Every Divi Torque module ships a conversion outline that maps its Divi 4 settings to the Divi 5 module, so borders, fonts, spacing and custom CSS carry over. Take a backup before converting a live site, as you would for any migration.

Does Divi Torque work with the Divi Builder plugin as well as the Divi theme?

Yes. Divi Torque detects Divi 5 whether it runs from the Divi theme or the Divi Builder plugin, and it still works on Divi 4 with either. Divi 5 lists Divi Torque Pro as a Divi 5 plugin in its readiness check.

How long will Divi 4 be supported?

Elegant Themes has said Divi 4 will get security and compatibility fixes for at least twelve months after the Divi 5 release on Feb 26, 2026, so through at least February 2027. Divi Torque keeps its Divi 4 modules for as long as Divi 4 is supported, so nothing breaks on a site that has not migrated yet.

Which versions do I need?

Divi 5.0 or later, WordPress 7.0 or later, and Divi Torque Pro 2.3.1 or later. The current release is always the right choice: every Divi 5 fix ships as a normal plugin update, and the changelog lists what changed.

Do lifetime licences get the Divi 5 updates?

Yes. Every update is included with your licence, and a lifetime licence is honoured permanently. There is no separate Divi 5 edition and nothing to buy again.
