Why use the Divi Testimonial Slider module?
Social proof is one of the few things on a page that reliably moves people, and it is one of the fussiest things to build in Divi. A row of quotes means a column per testimonial, a star rating pieced together by hand, an avatar that crops differently on every card, and a layout that breaks as soon as one quote runs longer than the rest.
The Testimonial Slider is a single module. Each testimonial is a child item with its own quote, reviewer, rating, date and badges, and the parent decides the skin, how many show at once, and how the whole thing behaves.
The slider beside this is the live module, running the Bubble skin.

Every slider below is the live module, not a picture of one. Drag a slide, or tab into a slider and use the arrow keys. The first three skins are here, the other three are in the next band.
Skin 1 · Bubble
The quote sits in a speech box with a tail. The reviewer follows underneath.
Bubble puts the quote in a speech box with a tail, and the reviewer sits underneath it.
The bubble colour is its own design control, and the tail inherits whatever you set.
Nothing about the content changes between skins. Only the layout does.
Skin 2 · Card
The reviewer moves to the top of the card, then the rating, then the quote.
Card lifts the reviewer to the top, then the rating, then the quote.
The card background, border, radius and shadow are one design group.
Switching skins is a dropdown. It never asks you to rebuild the slides.
Skin 3 · Centered
Everything centres, and the avatar stacks above the name.

It suits a single wide slide more than a three-across row.

No card background, no border, no shadow, and an 18 pixel quote.

The quote steps up to 18 pixels and everything centres.
It is the skin to use when the section already has its own surface.
Three across, with everything switched on
Six slides at three per view, so there is always something to page through. Hover it and the autoplay stops.
Read more clamps a long quote to four lines and adds a toggle underneath, so one unusually long testimonial cannot stretch every card in the row.
Centre the active slide
Highlighted lifts the middle slide and holds the two beside it back. Colours are module settings, so a near-black band needs no stylesheet.
Centre mode set to Highlighted lifts the active slide and dims the ones on either side.
Classic centre mode keeps every slide the same weight and adds a peek instead.
The peek value only applies to Classic, which is what the engine does with it.
Card background and border are design controls, so a dark band needs no custom CSS.
The hairline matters here. A drop shadow is invisible on a near-black section.
Star colour and size are set once on the slider, not per slide.
Every element is a switch
The same three testimonials, with the rating, date, badges and role turned off on the right.

Rating, quote, picture, name, verified, role, date, social and logo.
Four turned off
Rating, role, date and the network badge hidden. Nothing was deleted.
Paged by number, three at a time
Numbers instead of dots, and Slides to Scroll set to three so one click moves a whole row.
Pagination Type set to Numbers replaces the row of dots with a numbered row.
The number colour, the active colour and the text size are separate settings.
Slides to Scroll is three here, so one click advances a whole row.
That is a different setting from Slides to Show, and it takes three values too.
Autoplay is off on this one, so the only thing moving it is you.
Transition Speed and the easing curve still apply to a manual move.
Building one takes about two minutes
