Why use the Divi Instagram Chat module?

An Instagram DM launcher is a direct line to a real conversation, and it works better than a contact form for visitors who already use Instagram. Building the floating bubble, the opening message and the header by hand means custom CSS and a manually built ig.me link.

Instagram Chat is a single module: a phone number, a chat template, and the bubble opens Facebook's own Instagram DM link with the message pre-filled. No API key, no app to connect.

Four chat templates

Only one bubble runs live above, since it is a floating widget. The four templates it can be set to:

Default, Support, Sale, Booking

Default opens with a general greeting. Support leads with "How can we help?". Sale opens with a product question. Booking opens with a scheduling request. Switching between them is one dropdown, no rewriting the rest of the module.

Is the Instagram Chat module free?No. It ships in Divi Torque Pro. The free plugin does not include it.Does it need Divi 5?It is a native Divi 5 module. A Divi 4 layout using the same module converts across, since it shares the same shortcode.Do I need a Instagram Graph API?No. It opens a standard ig.me/m/ link with your username, Instagram's own direct-message shortcut, no Graph API app review required.Can I place it inline instead of floating?No. Bubble Position has exactly one value: floating. It is always fixed to the viewport.Can more than one chat widget appear on the same page?Technically yes if you add two instances, but with both fixed to the viewport they would overlap.
