Advanced Blurb

A content box with an image, icon or video, a title, body text and an optional button. Use it for services, feature highlights, team profiles and process steps.

The Advanced Blurb module combines a media element, a title, body text and an optional button in one content box. The media can be an image, an icon or a video. Use it for service descriptions, feature highlights, team profiles and process steps.

Content Tab

Media

  • Media Element: Choose Image, Icon or Video. Image is the default.
  • Image: The picture to show. Used when Media Element is Image.
  • Image Alt Text: Describes the image for screen readers. Leave it empty for a purely decorative image.
  • Icon: The icon to show. Used when Media Element is Icon.
  • Video (MP4 or YouTube URL): The video to embed. Used when Media Element is Video.
  • Use Overlay Image and Video Overlay Image: Show a poster image over the video until it is played.
  • Image Overlay Icon: An optional icon layered over the image.
  • Image Height: Pins the image column to a fixed height when the media sits beside the text. Leave it at auto for the natural height.

Text

  • Title: The blurb heading.
  • Title HTML Tag: H1 to H6. Default is H4.
  • Body: The description. This field uses the Divi text editor.

Button

  • Show Button: Adds a button below the text. Off by default.
  • Button Text: The button label. Default is "Read More".
  • Button URL: Where the button links.
  • Open in New Tab: Opens the link in a new tab. Off by default.

Design Tab

Layout

  • Media Placement: Top, Left or Right. Default is Top.
  • Content Alignment: Left, Center or Right. Default is Center.
  • Vertical Alignment: Top, Center or Bottom. Sets where the text sits against the media when they are side by side.
  • Equalize Content Height: Stretches the image to match the height of the text beside it.
  • Image Hover Animation: None, Zoom or Grayscale.

Media & Icon

Icon color, icon size, image width and image border. The Use Icon Box option puts the icon in a box with its own background, width, height, radius and padding. There are also colors for the video play icon and the video overlay hover background.

Content

Content padding, the space under the title and the space above the button.

Title and Body

Font styling for the title and for the body text.

Button

Divi's standard button style options for the optional button.
