Menu Maker
Menu Maker is the Divi menu plugin module in Divi Torque Pro. It puts any WordPress menu directly into the Divi Builder, so you can lay it out horizontally or vertically, style the normal and active states visually, and switch on a mobile hamburger menu — without touching the theme's own header.
Its main use is inside a Divi Theme Builder header template, where it replaces Divi's built-in menu with one you can position and style as an ordinary module.
How to add the Menu Maker module
- Create a menu under Appearance → Menus if you do not have one yet.
- Add a section and row, then insert the Menu Maker module.
- Enter your menu, set the orientation, and decide whether to enable the mobile menu.
Content
Menu
- Menu ID — which WordPress menu to display. In Divi 5 this is a numeric ID field; in Divi 4 it is a dropdown of your menus by name. See below for how to find the ID.
- Menu Orientation — Horizontal for a standard header row, or Vertical for a sidebar or footer column.
How to find your menu ID
Go to Appearance → Menus and select the menu you want. Look at the browser address bar — the URL ends with menu=123. That number is your menu ID, and it is the value to paste into the Menu ID field.
Mobile
Enable Mobile Menu is off by default. Turn it on and the module renders a hamburger toggle on small screens that opens a slide-in panel containing the same menu. Leave it off if the menu is short enough to wrap cleanly, or if your header already provides its own mobile navigation.
Design
Top Level
- Alignment — left, centre, or right within the column.
- Spacing — the gap between top-level menu items, 0 to 100px.
- Item — a full Divi border group applied to each top-level item, for pill-shaped or boxed menu items.
Menu Text
Two independent typography groups — Normal and Active — each with font family, weight, style, colour, size, letter spacing, line height, and text shadow. The Active group styles the item matching the current page, which is what gives visitors a sense of where they are.
The standard Divi Background, Border, Box Shadow, and Spacing groups apply to the menu container.
Works with Mega Menu
Menu Maker renders your menu through the same navigation walker as the Mega Menu extension. Any Divi Library layout you have assigned to a menu item under Appearance → Menus opens inside Menu Maker too — so a custom Theme Builder header and full mega panels work together without extra setup.
Tip
Place Menu Maker inside a Divi Theme Builder header template rather than on individual pages. One template gives every page the same header, and you can still use Theme Builder conditions to serve a different menu to logged-in users or to a specific section of the site.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my menu ID?
Open Appearance → Menus, select the menu, and read the number after menu= in the browser address bar. If the module shows "Please select a menu to display", the ID is either empty or does not match an existing menu.
Does Menu Maker support dropdown submenus?
Yes. Nested items in your WordPress menu render as submenus. For a richer dropdown that can contain images, columns, and any Divi module, assign a Divi Library layout to the parent item using the Mega Menu extension.
Is there a mobile menu?
Yes, but it is off by default. Turn on Enable Mobile Menu under Content → Mobile to get a hamburger toggle and a slide-in panel on small screens.
Is Menu Maker free?
No. Menu Maker is part of Divi Torque Pro. The free Divi Torque Lite plugin does not include a menu module.
Does Menu Maker work in Divi 5?
Yes. A native Divi 5 version, including the mobile hamburger menu, shipped in Divi Torque Pro 1.11.0, and the module still runs in Divi 4. The one difference between the two is the menu selector: Divi 4 offers a dropdown of menu names, Divi 5 takes the numeric menu ID.
