Post List

The Post List module shows your posts or pages as a list or a grid. Each item can have a thumbnail, an excerpt, the author and the date. Every item links to its post. Use it for blog roundups, resource lists and news sections.

How to add the Post List module

  • Add a section and a row, then add the Post List module.
  • Set the query under Content > Query to choose which posts appear.
  • Toggle the elements under Content > Elements, then pick the layout under Design > Layout.

Content

Query

Only published items are shown. If nothing matches, the module shows "No posts found."

  • Post Type: Post or Page. Default is Post.
  • Order By: Date or Title. Default is Date.
  • Order: Ascending or Descending. Default is Descending.
  • Posts Per Page: how many items to show. Default is 6.
  • Post Offset: how many items to skip from the start. Default is 0.
  • Exclude by IDs: post IDs to leave out, separated by commas.
  • Included Categories: category IDs, separated by commas. Leave it empty for all categories. This applies only when Post Type is Post.
  • Only Posts With Thumbnail: hides posts that have no featured image. On by default. Turn it off to include those posts.

Elements

  • Show Image: shows the featured image. On by default.
  • Show List Icon and List Icon: show an icon in place of the image. The icon appears only when Show Image is off.
  • Show Excerpt and Excerpt Length: the excerpt and its length. Default length is 150.
  • Show Author: shows "By" and the author name. Off by default.
  • Show Date and Date Format: the post date. Off by default. Default format is "M d, Y".

Design

Layout

  • List Type: List or Grid. Default is List.
  • Items Per Row: 1 to 8. Default is 4. Applies only to Grid. Responsive.
  • Post Spacing: the space between items. Default is 15px.
  • Post Padding: padding for each item, entered as top, right, bottom and left values.
  • Post Alignment: Left, Center or Right.

Image, List Icon, Meta and Content

  • Image: Image Width, Image Height and Image Spacing. Default size is 60px by 60px.
  • List Icon: Icon Size, Icon Color and Icon Spacing.
  • Meta: Meta Spacing Top, for the author and date line.
  • Content: Excerpt Spacing Top, for the excerpt.
  • Title, Content and Meta also hold the font options for the post title, the excerpt, and the author and date line.

Tip

Switch List Type to Grid with 2 to 3 items per row for a card-style blog feed. Or keep List, turn off Show Image and use the list icon for a compact "latest articles" sidebar.
