Video Modal

The Video Modal module opens a video in a popup when a visitor clicks the trigger. Use a YouTube video, a Vimeo video or an MP4 file from your media library. The visitor stays on the page. The trigger can be an image with a play icon, an icon, text, or an icon with text.

Supported Video Types

• Custom Upload (an MP4 file)

Use public YouTube and Vimeo videos.

Copy Video URLs

Copy the video URL from the address bar of the video's page.

YouTube: open the video and copy the URL from the address bar. Short youtu.be links also work.

Vimeo: open the video and copy the URL from the address bar, not from the share button.

Content

• Use Overlay Image: shows an image as the thumbnail behind the trigger. On by default.
• Image and Image Alt Text: the thumbnail image and its alt text.
• Button Element: what the trigger shows. Icon, Text or Icon & Text. Default is Icon.
• Trigger Text: the text on the trigger. Default is "Play". Used when Button Element includes text.
• Select Play Icon: Icon 1 to Icon 6, or Custom Icon. Set your own image with Custom Icon.
• Video Type: YouTube, Vimeo or Custom Upload. Default is YouTube.
• Video URL: the YouTube or Vimeo link.
• Video MP4 File: the MP4 file, for Custom Upload.

Settings

• Use Animated Icon: adds an animated wave around the icon. Off by default. Set an icon background color under Design > Icon for a better result.
• Animated Wave Color: the color of the wave.
• Icon/Text Alignment: Left, Center or Right. Default is Center.
• Spacing Between Icon and Text: default is 20px.

Design

• Image: Image Height for the thumbnail.
• Icon: Color, Size (default 60px), Opacity, Height, Width, Background and Border Radius.
• Text: Use Text Box puts the trigger text in a box. Set its Height, Width, Background and Border Radius.
• Text Font: font options for the trigger text.
• Popup: Popup Background (default is a dark, semi-transparent color) and Close Icon Color.
