News Ticker

The News Ticker module displays a smooth, scrolling stream of your latest posts or pages — ideal for announcements, headlines, and live updates. You choose what content feeds the ticker and how fast it moves, all from the Divi 5 Builder.

How to add the News Ticker module

1. Add or open a section and row.
2. Click the grey + icon and search for News Ticker.
3. Insert it, then set the query and ticker options in the module settings.

Content

Query

• Post Type — pull items from Posts or Pages.
• Included Categories — comma-separated category IDs (leave empty for all).
• Order By (Date / Title) and Sorted By (Ascending / Descending).
• News Limit — how many items to show.
• Exclude by IDs and News Offset — skip specific or leading items.

Settings

• Use Title / Title Text / Title Position (Left or Right) — add a fixed label beside the ticker.
• Moving Speed and Moving Direction (Left or Right).
• Item Spacing — gap between headlines.
• Pause on Hover — stop scrolling when a visitor hovers.
• Use Bullet Before Item and Bullet Color.

Design

Open the Title panel to set the Title Padding, and use the standard Text and Background options to style the headline text and the ticker bar to match your site.

Tip

Enable Pause on Hover on tickers that link out, so readers can click a headline without it scrolling away.
