Migrate from Lite

The Migrate from Lite tool helps you move a site from Divi Torque Lite to Divi Torque Pro. It scans your content for Lite modules and converts the ones that have a direct Pro equivalent. Anything it cannot convert safely is listed separately, with a link to the page, so you can handle it by hand.

The tool appears in the Divi Torque menu only while Divi Torque Lite is active next to Divi Torque Pro.

Run a migration

1. Go to Divi Torque > Migrate from Lite.
2. Click Scan site. The tool reads your content and groups what it finds.
3. Review the three counters: Ready to convert, Needs attention, and No Pro equivalent.
4. Click Convert All Safe, or click Convert next to a single module to convert only that one. Use View to open a page first.
5. When every Lite module has been migrated, the screen says so and offers an Open Plugins button. You can then deactivate Divi Torque Lite.

What it converts

The tool converts Divi 5 modules that exist in both plugins with the same settings. For those modules, the conversion changes only which plugin the module belongs to. Every setting stays as it was.

What needs manual work

• Divi 4 modules. They are never converted automatically, because the setting names differ between the Lite and Pro versions. Convert the page to Divi 5 first, or rebuild the module.
• Image Carousel and Post Carousel. The settings differ between Lite and Pro, so these are left for you.
• A module that is switched off in Pro. If the Pro version of a module is disabled on the Modules screen, enable it before you convert.

What has no Pro equivalent

Some Lite modules have no counterpart in Pro. The tool lists them with a warning that deactivating Lite will stop them from rendering. Keep Divi Torque Lite active if you use them. Lite extensions that Pro does not include are listed as well. Today that is Sharing Buttons.

Undo a conversion

Converting a page saves it through WordPress, so the page keeps a revision. To go back, open the page in the WordPress editor and restore the revision from before the conversion. The newest revision is the converted one, so pick the one before it.

Frequently asked questions

Does the tool change my Divi 4 layouts?
No. It converts Divi 5 modules only and lists Divi 4 modules for manual work.

Can I convert one module at a time?
Yes. Each module in the Ready to convert list has its own Convert button.

Do I have to deactivate Divi Torque Lite afterward?
No, but once everything is migrated the tool tells you it is safe to do so. Keep Lite active if any module or extension is listed as having no Pro equivalent.
