Random Image

The Random Image module shows one image at random from a set you choose. Use it for hero sections, sidebars or promo spots that should look different from one visit to the next.

How to add the Random Image module

  1. Add a section and a row, then add the Random Image module.
  2. In the Content tab, open Images and choose the images to rotate through.
  3. Set the Image Size, an optional link and the alignment.

Images

  • Choose Images: Select the set of images. One of them is picked at random.
  • Image Size: The WordPress image size to use. Options are Thumbnail, Medium, Medium Large, Large and Full. The default is Full.
  • Link URL: Optional. Wraps the image in a link.
  • Open Link in New Window: Off by default. Opens the link in a new tab.

The image is picked on the server each time the page is generated. If you use full-page caching, the cached page shows the same image until the cache is cleared.

Design

Image

  • Image Alignment: Left, Center or Right. The default is Center.
  • Border (including rounded corners), box shadow and spacing for the image.

Tip

Keep every image in the set the same dimensions so the layout stays stable no matter which one is shown.
