Instagram Feed

The Instagram Feed module shows recent posts from an Instagram account in a grid. Each post links to Instagram. You can add a profile header, captions on hover, a follow button and a load more button.

Connect an Instagram account

The module reads posts from a linked account, so link one first.

  1. Go to Divi Torque > Settings > Integrations.
  2. In the Instagram section, paste an access token and click Link User.
  3. Use the module's Instagram Username field with the username of that linked account.

Posts are fetched from Instagram and cached for one hour. If the username is empty, has no linked account, or no posts can be loaded, the module shows "No Instagram posts found".

Source

  • Instagram Username: The username of a linked Instagram account.
  • Total Posts: The maximum number of posts to show. The default is 12.
  • Open Posts In: Same Tab or New Tab. The default is Same Tab.

Layout

  • Layout: Grid is the only layout.
  • Number of Columns: The default is 3.
  • Columns Gap: The space between posts. The default is 10px.
  • Show Header: Off by default. Shows the profile header above the feed with the @username.
  • Show Profile Image: On by default. Shows the image in the header.
  • Profile Image: A custom image for the header. If empty, the Instagram logo is used.
  • Show Custom Bio: Off by default. Shows your own text under the username.
  • Custom Bio Text: The bio text.

Captions

  • Show Caption: Off by default. Shows each post caption in an overlay on hover. Posts without a caption show no overlay.
  • Trim Caption: Off by default. Shortens long captions.
  • Caption Length: The number of words to keep when trimming. The default is 10.

Follow Button

  • Show Button: Off by default.
  • Location: Header, Bottom or Both. The default is Header.
  • Button Text: The default is "Follow on Instagram". The button links to the profile on Instagram.

Loadmore Button

  • Show Button: Off by default. When on, the feed loads in pages and visitors click the button to load more.
  • Load More Button Text: The default is "Load More...".
  • Feeds Per Page: How many posts each page loads. The default is 4. The pages stop at the Total Posts limit.

Design

Header

  • Bottom Spacing: The space below the header. The default is 50px.
  • Profile Image Size: The default is 50px.
  • Profile Image Padding: Top, right, bottom and left padding, for example 5px|5px|5px|5px. That is the default.

Text, image and button styling groups for those parts of the feed.

Captions

  • Overlay Color: The hover overlay color behind the caption. The default is rgba(0,0,0,0.5).
